The General Members' Meeting (ALV)
Every owner of an apartment and / or parking space is automatically a member of the Association of Owners Geuzenpoort homes and / or parking spaces. Every year there is a (ALV) General Members' Meeting of the VvE in which joint decisions are made on all kinds of matters (annual figures, budget, major maintenance, internal regulations, etc.). The ALV also approves the annual figures and the monthly contribution to the operating costs for the following year.
Every owner has voting rights in the ALV. Here too applies: most votes apply. If an owner has a majority interest, it is not necessarily the case that he has a decisive vote. So it is important to make your voice heard during an ALV!
As an owner, you can always ask the board to put an item about which you want an ALV decision on the agenda. Let us know in time! The agenda is sent three weeks prior to the ALV. After that, no more points can be put to the vote.
How the meeting went and what was decided is recorded in the minutes of which each owner receives a copy. Do you disagree with a decision taken? Then you can invoke the annulment of the decision through the court within 30 days after you have been able to take cognizance of the decisions taken.
The dates of the 2022 general members' meetings are as follows:
ALV homes: 1st meeting September 12 8 pm. In no quorum, the 2nd meeting on September 29 is 8:00 PM (physical meetings)
ALV parking garage: October 24 at 7.30 pm (digital)
ALV main split: October 26 at 10:00 am (only for the boards of the VvEs in the main split)
